Tuesday Evening Talk - Professor David Tomalin - Vectensians afloat: just how far back might we go?
David Tomlin - Roman Vectis
The topic, the book, the theme
Hidden in the seabed and sediments of our Island is a story of independent and highly resourceful Islanders, ready to take advantage of every opportunity on land and sea. David brings to life the challenges of Islanders when first dealing with their 'Solent moat', and then with the English Channel.

Roman Vectis: archaeology and identity in the Isle of Wight.
